Stefano Divizia is a Visual Designer based in L'Aquila, center Italy, specializing in creative design, visual communication, branding, logo processing, restyling, corporate identity, brand image, creative consultancy, stationery, covers, posters, paper, editorial projects, graphics, viral marketing, advertising, billboards, merchandising, packaging and product design. Sensitive to drawing and illustration since adolescence, he browse urban trends embracing hip hop culture with graffiti, street art, digital illustration, contemporary art projects and much more.

 


EXPERIENCE


Stefano Divizia has a five years degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Perugia, Italy. Sensitive to visual arts and visual languages, since he was a teenager he has devoted himself to illustration, the use of pencils and painting. The continuous stylistic research and the contamination of the Street culture that lives in the same years contribute to its formation. Studies on lettering and approaches closely related to Aerosol Art, Graffiti Art, Tagging and Street Art have led him spontaneously to approach the visual field, graphics and creative aspects.

In 2007 he came into contact with Lia Rumma: a world-renowned historic Contemporary Art Gallerist and Art Dealer with who he will work for four years as a personal assistant for the inauguration of the new showroom in Milan. The latter remains a fundamental experience: direct contact with works of art and internationally renowned artists will in fact be of great importance in the formation of his artistic path, of his constantly evolving poetry.

The tragic earthquake that occurred in L'Aquila, his hometown, forced him to return to it in 2011 and where, with some friends, he founded a free-press magazine, of which he became Art Director and Graphic Designer, coordinating graphics and advertising processing. In 2012 he is involved in the creation of interior design installations (in-situ artwork) in an important electronic music club where, in harmony with an important interior architecture firm, he creates important neon installations, poster art, combining a series of codes related to the street art to elements of classical and contemporary art, interior decoration, fashion, pop culture, adapted to activate emotions in the public. He also takes care of every aspect of the club's brand by creating the logo, the design banner, lightbox and neon installations, posters that cover, holding the position of creative director in the start-up phase, then dealing with the creation of events, networks and collaborations, as well as the designs and graphics of each event and the launch advertising campaign such as flyers, posters, billboards, 6x3m billboards, flash mobs, web images and much more.

Stefano Divizia is currently involved in the creation and design of projects of cultural, economic and tourist development of regional importance such as: "Perdinanza Celestiniana"; "Abruzzo Hip Hop Festival"; "Mountain Festival"; "Spring Session - Campo Imperatore"; "Cena d'Artista"; "Art Village"; "LEAF" - Urban regeneration interventions "and other side projects.

The Mountain Festival is an event created by the association Gran Sasso Anno Zero to encourage the economic development of the city of L'Aquila and neighboring villages (currently still battered by the earthquake of 2009) by placing the emphasis on the natural resources of the National Parks and internal areas and advertising the tourist, sporting activities, receptive and culinary offers that they offer, as a starting point to rebuild the local economy.

the association aims to encourage the development of the artistic community, of young talents, emerging artists and new creative professionals through projects of: promotion, research, development, training, euro-planning, creative professional design, curation, event organization. This project aims to promote new creative and artistic working skills as professionally recognized figures. Creation of a "network" linked to contemporary art and the "promotion of visual arts" like painting, sculpture, illustration, graphics, street art and graffiti, urban culture, architecture, photography, video, performance, design, music and all environment, which contributes to a "cultural refresh" of the cities through the formation of local and European projects with competences crossed between creatives, selected artists, sector professionals, public and private. Territorial development, redevelopment of degraded places through selected interventions of artistic type and / or related to the restoration, re-appropriation and / or creation of green areas attentive to the naturalistic and urban landscape.

Strange Office

since May 2014

The story of Strange Office stems from a need, in the city of L'Aquila,  after the earthquake, the socio-economic crisis is amplified in a reality where, in addition to lacking resources, there are no social places of aggregation. Hence the idea of ​​some boys, students, freelancers and professionals who decide to join forces and give life to the first local experiment of shared office. Found an association, Start-Up L'Aquila and put on the plate each their own wealth of resources and skills to give life to their project. In a few months they've find a home, they furnish it with the help of local entrepreneurs and started this new path with the name of Strange Office. Today Strange Office is a reality that houses a good number of people (students, freelance professionals, representatives of companies, associations and simple enthusiasts) all united by a common factor: sharing.

The aim was to refresh the local way to work. We've transformed its individualistic nature and based only on the logic of profit at any cost to a new cooperative and mutualistic way.

Strange Office then releases itself from being just a physical place and becomes a community.
